Christmas con't

We had our family celebration on Sat., Dec. 22nd and almost the whole family was there, at least everyone who lives in California. Anyway, we got a new camera and the difference in the quality of pictures is really amazing. Christmas day was spent at home with Grammie and Auntie Penny - that was a first and boy was it nice. Hope everyone's holiday was relaxing and fun and that the new year brings you peace and joy.

The Christmas Season

We went to the Winter Sawdust in Laguna Beach over Thanksgiving weekend thinking we'd get a jump on the holiday season and see Santa Claus. At first Alex didn't want to sit with Santa, but then she saw that Thomas (our friend's son) got a toy from Santa when he sat on his lap. Well that was enough to motivate her and here is the evidence. She spent the most time in the little house having a tea party.

Halloween

This year, Alex was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz for Halloween. No, she doesn't know who that is, but our friend Kelly gave us the outfit, so that's what she was. We went trick-or-treating with our neighbors and got LOTS and LOTS of candy. Everytime we'd get to a house, Alex would want to go inside (we went inside the first house). When the candy bowl appeared, she would immediately stick her hand in and start to get some candy. I had to keep reminding her that she needed to wait for the person to give her the candy after she said, "Trick or treat." Overall it was a fun evening. This year the holidays are going to be fun because Alexandra understands what's going on.
